The Center for Independent Living Gulf Coast provides assistive technology services through the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology, Also known as FAAST, Florida’s assistive technology program. The mission of FAAST is to improve the quality of life for Floridians with disabilities by increasing access to assistive technology.
As the FAAST Southwest RDC, we provide no cost assistive technology services to children and adults with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Seniors and boomers benefit from our services as well. We offer assistive technology devices and strategies to assist with activities of daily living, memory, mobility, vision, hearing, computer access, environmental adaptations, and speech communication. The FAAST Southwest Regional Demonstration Center serves residents of Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee, and Sarasota counties.
Assistive technology (AT) is any device, item, piece of equipment, hardware or software that an individual can use to perform a task or activity with increased independence. We invite you to contact us to discuss your needs with one of our FAAST team members.
A FAAST representative can provide the following services:

topics, including exploring available funding options for a device.
Device demonstrations (In person or virtual) to help individuals compare the functions and features of a device so that they can make an informed decision
